Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
As you may already know, our current deputy headteacher, Mr. Hutchings, will be leaving at the end of term to become the headteacher of Parkgate Primary School in Neston.
Following a long and rigorous recruitment campaign, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. M. Lewis as the new deputy headteacher from the start of September. Mrs. Lewis will be joining us from Leamington Primary School in Norris Green, where she currently works.
We will introduce Mrs. Lewis to the parents and children in the school at the soonest possible opportunity, and very much look forward to her joining the staff team at Norman Pannell.
Congratulations to Aaron Benstead in Y6 who has been voted by the public as Norman Pannell's winning artist in the Dot-Art Competition.
Aaron's superb artwork will now be proudly displayed at the "dot-art Schools Exhibition" in St. George's Hall from Friday 5th June to Saturday 20th June. Please go along to have a look at it, as well as winners from other Liverpool schools.
If you took the time to vote, thank you for supporting our children's excellent artistic ability. Well done to Joseph Brunt for being a close second in the voting, and a huge thanks to Miss Lamont for her hard work and inspiration in helping the children to produce such fabulous work!

What a sensational end to a glorious season!
The Year 5/6 football team added to their league success this evening with a fantastic Cup Victory against Matthew Arnold Primary School. The game got off to the best possible start, with Adam S settling the nerves by putting Norman Pannell 1-0 up in the first few minutes. The opposition fought back well and scored an excellent equaliser. However, when Adam put us back into the lead with a cool finish at the end of a slick team passing move, our boys began to take control and look comfortable. Ross made a crucial, brave double save, but our solid defence rarely looked troubled and Norman Pannell's skill and pace on the break was a constant threat.
In the second half, we stretched the lead with a calm finish from Leighton, and the victory was put beyond doubt when Leighton finished well to grab his second, making it 4-1.
The whole team performed magnificently, playing once again with sportsmanship and great spirit. They have represented the school brilliantly throughout the long and successful season, and the trophy cabinet is on order to proudly display the trophies won at the end of a glorious season!
Many thanks to Mr. Foster and Mr. Barbour for their inspirational coaching and cunning tactics, and to parents for their dedication in transporting and supporting the team throughout the season.
CONGRATULATIONS to our wonderful Year 5 and 6 football team, who are the South-East Liverpool Small Schools League Champions!
As a result of their league triumph, the team went forwards into the City Finals at Heron Eccles Playing Fields on Thursday 30th April.
Please see 'Gallery' for photos of a great afternoon.
The first game was a semi-final against Banks Road. Norman Pannell played superbly and dominated the game from the beginning. Two of the goals came from Brooklyn - one of which was a beautiful lobbed volley and another a great team goal. The other goal was a world class volley by James on his left foot. As the game drew to a close, Banks Road managed a consolation goal, but we were already perhaps thinking of the next match. A great team performance to win 3-1!
Following this success, the boys went through to the City Final for small schools against Knotty Ash. Norman Pannell started brightly and looked well on top, but Knotty Ash grew into the game and took the lead. We equalised towards the end of the first half with a superb team goal; Brooklyn was released on the right wing and he used his electric pace to beat the full back, cleverly cutting it back to James on the edge of the box, who controlled, turned and fired low into the bottom right corner - surely one of the goals of the season! Despite the team's best efforts, Knotty Ash ran out winners, but our team fought to the end and represented the school magnificently. Well done to the whole squad!
Well done also, and a huge thanks, to Mr. Foster and Mr. Barbour who have led the team brilliantly throughout the season, and to all the parents who have helped with transport and support.
Welcome to our brand new school website! We have created the website to keep parents, carers and visitors up to date with school news and notices, and to showcase some of the great things our pupils are achieving. We also wanted a website that the children could use to have fun and access resources to help them with their learning. The website is easy to edit by all staff at the school, so check back soon for new updates!

Congratulations to all the children (and teachers!) for their fabulous signing assembly on Tuesday 31st March, led by Ian and Thomas from Deaf Active. Thank you to all the parents, carers and family members who attended and donated to a very worthy cause.
"Dot-art Schools" is an interactive, online, inter-school, art competition, taking part on an annual basis and culminating in an exhibition in Liverpool city centre. Open to primary (year 6) and secondary (year 9) schools in the Liverpool City Region. It is designed to nurture talent, raise ambition, and take art out of the classroom and into the real world. Dot-art Schools offers a way of keeping young people engaged with the arts, allows them to see a creative career path, and encourages them to attend exhibitions and engage with culture, outside of school.
Our Y6 children have produced some outstanding artwork with the help of Miss Lamont at Art Club after school on Fridays during the Spring Term. Three of the pieces have been selected for the final judgement, which takes place soon. You can vote at:

We are pleased to support the 'Slow down for Bobby' campaign. Parents, carers, families, visitors and school staff are urged to slow down and avoid parking on the zig-zags outside school, reducing the risk of our precious children being involved in traffic accidents.
In the picture below, our Y6 school councillors help Mr. Simpson to put posters up to highlight the need for road safety.
