Homework will be handed out on Fridays and needs to be returned no later than Wednesdays for marking and new homework to be set.
We hope you enjoy looking at our class page which will be updated regularly with photos and examples of work we are doing in class.
Thanks for your continued support.
YEAR 6 SAT's
This week we have given the children SAT Buster booklets for both English and Maths. These booklets will be taken home each night and brought back in the following morning, with 3 pages to be completed in both.
The children were really excited to be offered the opportunity to go to Anfield for a talk on internet safety. Pictures to follow.
Liverpool Museum trip
On the 06/02/2018 the class went on a trip to the Liverpool Museum. we had a great day looking at the WW1 artifacts. We also took a trip over to the Slavery Museum which we found very interesting.
This week we have been looking at light in our science work. here are some pictures of the light reflecting off a mirror and bouncing back at the same angle.
Today students from L.I.P.A came to our school to run a workshop. Year 6 really enjoyed it, as you can see from the pictures.
Our trip to Gateacre!
The children were invited to Gateacre to work on our Sciene topic, which is light. We always love going there and being able to use their labs.
Christmas decorations for Bellvale
On Friday the children made christmas decorations for Bellvale shopping centre. These decorations will be displayed on the chistmas tree in the centre.
British Red Cross
This afternoon the children had a lesson on what o do in an emergancy. They all really enjoyed the lesson.
During our lesson today year 6 made gas masks. Each of the children made one and I think you will agree that they are all fantastic.
Today one of our students, Carson, brought in his Great, Great Uncle's WW1 booklet. In it there was a picture of the man and a Bible. The most interesting part of this is that Carson's Great, Great Uncle was shot (you can see the mark on the booklet where the bullet hit the book). However, Carson's Great, Great uncle smoked like many people did in those days and his tobacco tin saved his life.
Adam has made a fantastic gas mask. Well done Adam!!!
Over the weekend Grace and Rhys produced some lovely work about the war. Grace made a poem while Rhys made a gas mask.
Year 6 cleaning out the reading garden!

Acting out Private Peaceful
Today Year 6 acted out a part of the scene from the book Private Peaceful.
