As part of our topic work this term on Ancient Egypt, the children visited The World Museum to participate in ‘Meet the Mummy’ a workshop where they worked alongside experts from the museum and were taken through the various stages of the mummification process. The children worked on a life size ‘dummy mummy’ and learned about how the body was preserved and the cultural meanings of the preservation process.
