  • Colomendy - Day 3

Tue 16 Jun 2015 Mr. Simpson

I've just spoken to Mr. Hutchings, who has reported back at the end of another fantastic day!  Last night, as predicted, the children slept really well, with all asleep much earlier and sleeping through.  It's always the way...

Today, the weather has once again been fantastic, with the children involved in a hectic schedule.  The morning started with 'River Study' - the whole group going off site to a local river, taking measurements and absorbing the natural beauty.  The afternoon was back to the activities: caving, orienteering, problem solving etc.

Now the children are back in dormitories after an evening activity of Fencing in the hall.  One more night and they will be home.  The coach is due back before the end of school - I will try to update on an exact time if I can.

    (sorry, no photos tonight!)

  • Colomendy - Day 2

Mon 15 Jun 2015 Mr. Simpson

I've just got back from visiting the children and teachers at Colomendy and am happy to report that they are having a fantastic time!  Fortunately I arrived just in time for dinner, but soon the children were once again off to activities in the beautiful woodland (see photos).

After a short break and a mass game of beach volleyball, it was off to the campfire - a chance for children to try out their best jokes, riddles and campfire songs.  Everyone seems to be happy and settled - all having a great time, and after a packed day I suspect they will all sleep well tonight!

  • Colomendy - Day 1

Mon 15 Jun 2015 Mr. Simpson

The children and teachers arrived safe and sound at Colomendy yesterday afternoon. Within minutes they were involved in a wide range of exciting activities, including the most hilarious activity of all... 'put the duvet cover on the duvet'!

We will update with photos and more news as soon as we can...

  • Introducing the new deputy headteacher - Mrs. Lewis

Wed 03 Jun 2015 Mr. Simpson & Governors

As you may already know, our current deputy headteacher, Mr. Hutchings, will be leaving at the end of term to become the headteacher of Parkgate Primary School in Neston.

Following a long and rigorous recruitment campaign, we are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. M. Lewis as the new deputy headteacher from the start of September.  Mrs. Lewis will be joining us from Leamington Primary School in Norris Green, where she currently works.

We will introduce Mrs. Lewis to the parents and children in the school at the soonest possible opportunity, and very much look forward to her joining the staff team at Norman Pannell.
