Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Congratulations to the 58 children from Y1 - Y6 who have achieved an award at Liverpool University's Carnatic Halls this morning.
For the first time, we have had children exceeding the Gold Award, moving up into the Bronze and Silver Ceritificate categories, which celebrates over 100 hours of involvement in our after school clubs.
The Y6 dance troupe - who won an award earlier in the year - performed for the huge audience and the children looked magnificent in their caps and gowns.
Thank you to all the parents who attended. There are lots of photos on the class pages, but here are a few to capture the magic of a wonderful morning!
This week, Years 4, 5 & 6 took part in a full day Young Enterprise Global Workshop.
The children completed a series of hands-on tasks designed around the theme of global trade which provided an opportunity for pupils to apply skills for learning, life and work.
We will be holding a charity cake sale on Tuesday 13th June at 3:15pm in the infant hall and would be grateful of any donations of home baked or shop bought cakes which our School Council can sell to raise money for the NSPCC.
Any cake donations can be brought into school on the morning of 13th June for the sale that afternoon. Children can bring money into school to buy cakes at the end of the day.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the devastating terror attack in Manchester. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of those who have been affected.
Our children are exposed to news in many ways and what they see can worry them. There are some links below to help parents talk to their children about the recent events and a video for children with advice if they are upset or worried about what's happened.

Congratulations to the children from Y6 and Y5 who performed brilliantly at Camp Hill in the final of the Highway Cup last night. After a tense first half, two evenly matched teams found themselves locked at 1-1. However, Norman Pannell's quality showed as the game wore on and a brilliant hat trick from Leighton and a fourth goal from Lewis sealed the magnificent 4-1 victory and the cup for Norman Pannell.
Many thanks to Danny, the coach of the team, who has led the team magnificently. We would also like to congratulate Danny on gaining a full time job elsewhere, starting next week. This is sad for the children of our school who have benefited so much from his coaching and enthusiasm, but great news for Danny; it is richly deserved. We wish Danny all the best in the future and thank him for all the hard work and enjoyment he has brought in the last 3 years!

Many thanks to Paul Wilson, Centre Manager of Belle Vale Shopping Centre, and his team of volunteers, who came to Norman Pannell to plant 40 new trees along the top of the field by Childwall Valley Road.
In time, these will be come a wonderful addition to the school site, with each child from Y5 and Y6 having a lasting legacy of their time at the school as their tree grows over the years.
We look forward to working together again soon to plant more trees with the younger children.
We are delighted to be launching a new Gymnastics Academy at Norman Pannell today, run by expert coaches Keegan and Jason from the Liverpool School Sports Partnership (LSSP).
The academy will run every Monday during term time from 5-6pm, and is open to children from other schools. Each session is just £3 per child (reduced for additional siblings) and the first session is FREE! If you are interested, please e-mail Jason Evans at gym@lssp.co.uk or contact Mr. Simpson at school.
We hope your child will be excited and want to come to develop his/her skills and have fun!
Happy Saturday everyone. The Norman Pannell ski squad are on their way home! They are just checking in at the airport and at present (1:15pm) everything is on time.
The bus is due to arrive at St. Anthony of Padua school at 7:15pm. If there is any delay or change of plan, I will update the website.
While we wait for them to arrive, here are a few photos to enjoy from the awards evening last night.
