Greetings from Colomendy!
I've just sneaked away from 'Cinema Night' where the children are enjoying a well-earned chill out after a busy day.
The bus arrived safely at about 2:45pm and quickly made themselves at home in their dormitories. Teachers had great amusement watching the children attempt to put duvets and pillows in their covers before giving a helping hand!
After some enjoyable free time on the field, we then headed into the forest for the first activity - Nightline! All three groups were fantastic with everybody joining in (see photos below).
We then got cleaned up (it was quite muddy) and went down to the dining room for dinner, where the children enjoyed a wonderful roast dinner followed by doughnut and custard for pudding. It was great to see so many children took advantage of the healthy options, dipping into the salad bar and choosing a piece of fresh fruit.
When the film is finished, the children will be heading back to dormitories and the teachers will have the tricky task of getting 25 excited children to sleep. Everybody is having a great time and the group leaders have already commented on how well behaved they have been. I hope you're coping without your child - enjoy the freedom!
