Netherley Hub - Update 23.3.20

Good evening everyone,

Following the Prime Minister's latest statement, in which restrictions were increased, I can confirm that the Hub at Norman Pannell for children of critical key workers and vulnerable children remains OPEN unless you hear otherwise.  Liverpool Local Authority has confirmed earlier that the opening times will remain 9am - 4pm for the remainder of this week at least.

Please remember that this provision is only to be used if absolutely necessary.  If your children can be looked after safely at home, they should remain there for their own, and everybody else's health and safety.

We will require written evidence that workers are from the published government / local authority list, including details of working days and shifts.  The purpose of this government strategy is simply to keep children safe while key worker parents go out to work to keep the NHS and critical services going.  Please consider this carefully and phone school if you are unclear.  The more children who attend, the more staff are needed, and the more potential exposure to the dangerous spread of Covid-19.  If you can, please stay at home.

I would like to thank and pay tribute to the amazing staff teams from both Norman Pannell and St. Gregory's who attended this morning to support our community.  Staff are now on a rota and many have volunteered above and beyond what is expected of them in order to support our critical services and look after the children.  Incredible generosity and dedication.
