Guidance for attendance in school during lockdown - UPDATE

Dear Critical Key Worker Parents and Carers,

As the week has progressed, the government have updated policy and guidance in respect of this new school lockdown (please see link to government guidance at the bottom of the page).  While we would love to be teaching all of the children in school, we must ensure that we follow guidance and minimise the risk of virus transmission within school for the health and safety of the children, staff and wider community.

Therefore, from Monday 11th January, we are asking that critical key worker children only attend school when it is necessary for them to do so (when there is no other safe option to look after the child at home).  Therefore, for example, if a critical worker works three days per week, the child can be in school for those three days if there is no other option, but should be at home for the other two.

As a school, we must minimise the risk of virus transmission and therefore have a duty to reduce numbers where possible while cases are so high and increasing in Liverpool and nationally.

If you are a critical worker, please only bring your child to school on the days that you are working, and if there is no other parent or potential carer at home.

Thank you for helping us to keep everybody safe during this difficult time.

Mr. Simpson

(Head Teacher)
