Coronavirus - Update 18.3.20

Good evening,

Firstly, I'd like to thank all parents and children for their fantastic support and calm reaction to the unprecedented events of this week, while the Coronavirus crisis has escalated.  It has been a very difficult week, but I would particularly like to pay tribute to the incredible service to the children and local community shown by our amazing school staff, who have worked together to keep school open, positive and optimistic.

As you are no doubt already aware, the Prime Minister announced earlier that schools will be closed from Monday, to all children, except for a specific selection of children.  We are currently waiting clarification on exactly which pupils this applies to, but we would ask parents to consider whether the government's list applies to you and your child.

In the meantime, school remains OPEN tomorrow for all who are able to attend, following government advice on notices in school and on the website.  If your child is absent from school, it is so important that you contact us to let us know.  If you have already confirmed that your household is self-isolating, you do not need to inform us again, as this covers a 14-day period.

We will continue to follow advice and update you as soon as we can.

Thank you once again for your support and good will.

Mr. Simpson
