  • Fun in the Sun at Formby Beach!

Mon 17 Jul 2017 Mr. Simpson

We started the last week of the school year with a fabulous day of fun and creativity at Formby Beach today.  The weather could not have been better, as every child from Year 1 to Year 6 enjoyed the forest, sand and waves at Freshfields.

Thank you to the PTA for their kind contribution to the travel, helping to keep the costs down for parents and contribute to the children's wonderful experience.

  • NP Y6 make BIG impression

Sun 16 Jul 2017 Mr. Simpson

I've nearly caught up on sleep following Friday's fantastic Y6 leavers' celebration, which included a performance, prize giving, limo tour, party and sleepover in the school.  It was a fabulous day with lots of great feedback, but one particular comment has really caught my eye.

The party organisers were 'Angels and Scallies' - the second time they have provided the Y6 party at our school.  It was a brilliant event, enjoyed by all the children and parents alike.  Posting on their Facebook page, Diane from 'Angels and Scallies' wrote the following about our school:

"Tonight I cried at work throwing a party for children who had impeccable manners, danced non stop and behaved so well...  The appreciation of these kids was hearwarming - I'll never forget them."

    (see full post below)

This was followed by her comment: "They are having a sleepover too - the school are fantastic!"

I am so proud of the Y6 children for making such a positive impression.  Thank you once again to Angels and Scallies for a fantastic party!

  • Y6 Leavers off in style!

Fri 14 Jul 2017 Mr. Simpson

This afternoon we celebrated our wonderful Year 6 children as they head towards their last week in primary school. The afternoon involved their performance and tear-jerking slide show of baby photos, followed by a mass photo shoot and topped off by a limo ride around South Liverpool.

Now we're moving into the evening session and the children have enjoyed a party, after which it's goodbye to the parents and an all nighter at the school. Should be fun!

  • Local Police Football Tournament at Norman Pannell

Tue 11 Jul 2017 Mr. Simpson

Congratulations to the children from year 4 & 6 who represented the school in a local inter-school football tournament organised by the police, which was held at our school today.  The squad of 5 boys and 7 girls played really well, particularly in the two game we won!  We qualified for the semi-finals, but lost out to Much Woolton who went on to win the trophy.  What a great day!

  • Maths Party Day 2017

Fri 07 Jul 2017 Mrs McMaster
As part of Maths Party Day and our work towards the Liverpool Counts Quality Mark, our school Maths Ambassadors visited the Big Little Library in Belle Vale and the children in Year 5 visited Gateacre School to play 'life size Monopoly'. The children and parents had the opportunity to play a range of Maths games and puzzles with the ambassadors from Gateacre School.
