Congratulations to Aaron Benstead in Y6 who has been voted by the public as Norman Pannell's winning artist in the Dot-Art Competition.

If you took the time to vote, thank you for supporting our children's excellent artistic ability.  Well done to Joseph Brunt for being a close second in the voting, and a huge thanks to Miss Lamont for her hard work and inspiration in helping the children to produce such fabulous work!

  • Y5/6 Complete 'Double' with Cup Victory

Tue 05 May 2015 Mr. Simpson

What a sensational end to a glorious season!

The Year 5/6 football team added to their league success this evening with a fantastic Cup Victory against Matthew Arnold Primary School.  The game got off to the best possible start, with Adam S settling the nerves by putting Norman Pannell 1-0 up in the first few minutes.  The opposition fought back well and scored an excellent equaliser.  However, when Adam put us back into the lead with a cool finish at the end of a slick team passing move, our boys began to take control and look comfortable.  Ross made a crucial, brave double save, but our solid defence rarely looked troubled and Norman Pannell's skill and pace on the break was a constant threat.

In the second half, we stretched the lead with a calm finish from Leighton, and the victory was put beyond doubt when Leighton finished well to grab his second, making it 4-1.

The whole team performed magnificently, playing once again with sportsmanship and great spirit.  They have represented the school brilliantly throughout the long and successful season, and the trophy cabinet is on order to proudly display the trophies won at the end of a glorious season!

Many thanks to Mr. Foster and Mr. Barbour for their inspirational coaching and cunning tactics, and to parents for their dedication in transporting and supporting the team throughout the season.
